Industrial roofing for large spans and heavy use

Metal, spray foam, coatings and built-up systems for large facilities with demanding roofs.

Chapter 01

Large spans and a lot of penetrations

An industrial roof is rarely just a roof. It carries exhaust fans, conduit, vents, rooftop units and the traffic of the people who service them, and every one of those penetrations is a potential leak path. Big flat areas also give Tri-Cities wind a lot of surface to pull at, especially at the edges and corners, and long spans expand and contract with the temperature swing.

These roofs take a beating from heavy loads, UV, weather and temperature changes, and they do it over a large area. The roofing system has to be built for that kind of duty, and then looked after, because a small problem on a big roof can travel a long way before anyone sees it inside.

Metal, built-up, single-ply or spray foam

A&A works with the systems industrial buildings use. Metal roofing is valued for longevity, low maintenance and weather resistance. Built-up roofing offers exceptional durability and can handle heavy foot traffic. Single-ply membranes, including TPO, EPDM and PVC, each bring their own advantages. Spray foam provides a continuous, energy-efficient and waterproof layer that conforms to awkward shapes and equipment.

We do not pick one for you by default. Solutions are customized to the facility: what happens under the roof, what is mounted on it, how often people walk it and how it needs to be phased around your operations. The right answer for a distribution warehouse is not always the right answer for a processing plant.

Chapter 03

Scheduled inspections and repairs

Industrial roofing works best on a schedule. We recommend routine inspections to identify and address issues, and our professionals handle the repairs and maintenance that extend the life of the roof. Inspecting after severe weather and before the seasons that stress a roof most is how facility managers keep surprises out of the budget.

Where a roof is sound but tired, we also offer coatings to improve performance and longevity. When you are ready to talk about a facility, call 509-440-2428 and we will set up a time to get on the roof.
